There
are many great ways to server our church. The Angel
Wings Ministry is one avenue that you can use and
fit it into your busy schedules. There are all sorts
of neat jobs. Some opportunities include delivering
sermon tapes to shut-ins; preparing meals for
families with loved ones in the hospital or other
emergencies; providing transportation for doctor
appointments; providing taxi service to grocery
store, post office, pharmacy; communion stewards for
Golden Years. Other ways to help are yard work for
older adults (mowing grass, raking leaves, weed
eating), preparing food for funerals or preparing a
meal for a family with a newborn baby.
Many of
the Methodist Men have already signed up to do Handy
Man services for our older adults who may need a
light bulb changed or batteries in smoke detectors,
small repairs, and other jobs.
There
are many things to do around the church and church
office each week, such as: recycling the bulletins
and office paper, straightening the Sanctuary after
services, collecting the attendance sheets after the
11:00 service; keeping the alter and candles on the
alter clean, just to name a few.
If any
of these jobs interest you, please call the church
office at 285-4503. We can help coordinate the
service you choose to do.
Thank
you for the many things you already do in response
to God’s love through your prayers, presence, gifts
and service.
The
American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program
provides transportation for cancer patients to and
from related medical/treatment appointments. It
supplements patients who have limited family
assistance. Rides are provided by volunteer drivers
who donate their time and the use of their personal
vehicle.
If you
are interested in receiving more information about
this program or the next driver certification
training program, please contact
Dorothy Doolittle at 285-4503.
God's Closet
Once a
year clothing is collected from Church Members and
given to the public at one of the city parks.
Kitchen
Ministry
The
Hospitality team meets several times during the year
to pray, contemplate and discuss what hospitality is
and what it looks like in the Church. These
conversations led to a renewed Kitchen Ministry team
that lovingly prepares food on Sundays, Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and many special occasions. This
ministry provides many opportunities for service and
allows for quiet service to others in provision of
food to local families in response to the
instruction to feed the poor.

Web Site -

Our
website hosts downloadable podcasts of one of our
Sunday services each week. CDs are prepared
from the same recordings and delivered to folks who
want copies, whether on a weekly basis or for
special occasions. Several families have
commented that they found our Church through the
website.
Adults, Youth
and Children
We
continue to celebrate opportunities in discipling
children, youth and adults through various
ministries supported by professional and volunteer
leadership, teachers, adult role models, drivers,
organizers, feast preparers, artists, musicians and
many others who share their talents to show others
God's love.
